She would go to the health association as well as tell them the deacons were denying air conditioners to the elderly. I didn\u2019t suppose dad was extreme because I didn\u2019t suppose she could go to the health association, even though she would complain to someone. When 1 of the older parishioners passed out, dad went ballistic. Even before the sermon began, she walked up to the pulpit. She actually greeted everyone, thanked them for coming, then addressed the congregation as well as the deacons. She said because of the state of the air conditioner, she was going to let everyone go home. She didn\u2019t want anyone getting sick because the deacons didn\u2019t deem the air conditioner worthy of the church\u2019s money. One of the deacons reached out to multiple HVAC companies as well as asked if they could give us a discount on an air conditioner unit. Luckily, 1 of their HVAC professionals had a family member who went to our church. <\/p>\n
