I walked into my lavatory just this past week, & I could not easily believe what I saw.<\/p>\n
The water in my toilet was completely frozen\u2026 I was afraid to use the toilet, because I thought it could end up breaking or something.<\/small><\/p>\n
I checked the lavatory that was in the kids room, & it wasn\u2019t frozen at all, so I chose to use that bathroom. Luckily I could also use the shower. I saw there was ice in the bottom of the shower stall, & I was afraid to try that too. The little ones were already ready for going to school, & I knew I wouldn’t be making it to the office. I pulled out a space oil furnace I had in the basement, & put it in my lavatory. I then called the HVAC appliance supplier & a plumber. I had a small HVAC appliance in my lavatory, & it must have died sometime in the middle of the night, however when the HVAC appliance supplier called back I told them about the HVAC appliance in the lavatory, & how I had ice in the shower, & toilet bowl was frozen also. They were sending an HVAC appliance contractor to the dwelling, to look at the lavatory HVAC system, even though I had to get a plumber in case some of the pipes were frozen. I spent 4 hours talking to HVAC appliance contractors & plumbers, even though I finally had my toilet thawed, & the pipes were wrapped with special heat tape. They told me I should be alright, even though I needed to get some insulation in the outside wall of the lavatory. I was quite fortunate the pipes hadn\u2019t frozen long before this actual time. <\/p>\n
