For a long time our wifey and I had a toilet issue, however the stupid thing would never flush; You would push down on the handle and it felt flimsy and gross, but my wifey isn\u2019t all that handy of a guy\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 He told myself and others the two of us should call a plumber for a toilet repair, i didn\u2019t feel it was a major plumbing issue.<\/p>\n
I knew it wasn\u2019t the drainage or a piping concern\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 So I did some googling on our own.<\/strong> <\/p>\n I then took off the toilet tank and was shocked at what I found. I figured inside there would be a ton of gears and parts. It is just a plug and flapper. That flapper is linked to a chain. That is about it. It was super basic! Online was entirely helpful too. I figured out that the chain was just too long and not allowing the plug to close. I shortened the chain and then everything worked perfectly. It flushed care about normal and all our drainage was good. I then experienced complications with the toiler later on and ripped off the tank again. I realized our chain was too short and I got hooked on the plug. That was another concern all together. Shoerterning and lengthening the chain in the tilet is about all I have ever done plumbing wise. You would swear I am a licensed plumber though. My wifey is just amazed by our toilet skills. Now anytime something goes wrong with it he feels that I am on par with a plumber and will figure it out.
