After so many years without it, I never thought I\u2019d actually get around to adding air conditioning to our home.<\/p>\n
For sure this is a big change for our home.<\/em> <\/p>\n My wife and I have been here nearly 40 years with just a gas furnace for the winter. But that’s the sort of climate we experienced where we live. The main deal for the HVAC equipment is to provide heating. That’s due to the fact that our region experiences at least 6 months that require a heating source. And that’s being generous. The summer really hasn’t been anything too tough that a breeze or some shade wouldn\u2019t handle. And if that didn\u2019t work, we turned on the fans. Then my wife started asking for more than that not too long ago. So I put in a window air conditioner in our bedroom. She was right because it did help us sleep better on hot nights. However it does feel like it’s getting hotter the older I get. So we decided to go a step further when it came to HVAC cooling. We had the great people at our local HVAC company come out and provide central air conditioning. I’m getting accustomed to having a house shut up during the summer months now. I still find a sort of strange as it’s so quiet inside the house. But it is worth it to have a HVAC cooling across our entire home. Plus the updated HVAC technology adds value to our home and we’re getting to the age where we may need to sell before too long. <\/p>\n <\/p>\n
