Getting your HVAC component a tune-up is part of official yearly repair.
A tune-up can help your HVAC system perform better.
It is absolutely tplot that a well-tested system will last many years longer. Most companies offer an HVAC tuneup that covers all parts of the heating and cooling equipment. My family and I contact a company that has a 25 point inspection. The HVAC tune-up includes a list of items that need to be evaluated for complications! Some of the items that are evaluated are mechanical. The repair company will inspect our duct work, filters, and our heat exchanger and evaporator coils. They flush and scrub the drain line from the AC to the outside of the house. The HVAC company usually checks our carbon monoxide levels along with the batteries inside of the fire detector. The HVAC tune-up also includes the inspection of the safety devices and controls, electrical connections, emergency shut-offs, and the refrigerant level in the AC machine. You should have your HVAC system tune up at least once during the year. It is even better for the unit to have a tune-up on the AC during the Spring and a tune-up on the boiler during the winter. When my wife and I had a full-repair tune-up last year, the repair company found a problem with our electronic ignition switch. The guy felt it should be changed out now before it stopped the boiler from working officially. It didn’t cost much money to replace the electronic ignition switch and I didn’t have to spend money a repair fee because the company was already at my home.
