My husband and I have looked at dozens of different houses throughout the last year or two.
- When we started thinking about buying a place of our own, we started looking at all of the options that were available.
We wanted to get a good idea of the features that we wanted in our house. I wanted a fireplace, tile in the kitchen and dining room, and a very large backyard for our two dogs. My husband wanted a detached garage or shed so he had work space for all of his tools, gardening equipment, and projects. We couldn’t find the exact house that we wanted, so we ended up talking to a builder. Once we learned that we could create a house to our own specifications, we stopped looking at all of the others and focused our attention on a new place. We met with a contractor to discuss all of the different options that were available. We looked at a couple of floor plans and models. Construction on the house started a couple of months later. At first the lot was just a barren area filled with dirt. Day by day, the project slowly came together. My husband and I went to look at the house a couple of weeks ago so we could see the progress. Everything looks pretty good. The contractors had just finished laying down all of the radiant heated flooring. Radiant heated flooring was another option that we could get in the new house that we could not find anywhere else, but we could add that to our new house during the construction stage.
