A very hot pregnancy

I want fresh air

I will never be pregnant over the summer again. A southern summer is hardcore. Also, a woman’s internal temperature goes up when she is pregnant. I timed my pregnancy in the worst way. I started my first trimester when the weather just started to get hot. My husband and I immediately turned on the AC since I started feeling a little too warm. If I got too hot, I would get a bit nauseous. By the second trimester it was really hot in our area. We were experiencing days in the 100s quite often. The AC had to go all day and all night long. I realized that I couldn’t be outside, not even in the shade. The outdoor temperature was too warm and humid. I would get sick, dizzy and lightheaded. I spent most of that time period just reading inside with the AC pumping. I wasn’t happy about that. I am in my last trimester and the weather is technically cooling down. However, the humidity is so high here that the temperature actually feels warm. It might be in the 80s but with the humidity it feels like 90. I feel my internal temp has gone up again too. So I am less tolerant of this hot weather than I would have been early on in pregnancy. I told my husband I just want to get out of the air conditioning. I want fresh air. It looks like by the time the weather actually cools down I will be giving birth. Next pregnancy I am going to start at the end of summer.
