If you’re planning on installing an HVAC system in your home, there are a few things you need to keep in mind. First, you’ll need to decide what type of system you want. AC units are great for cooling, but they don’t offer any heating capabilities. If you live in a climate that gets cold in the winter, you’ll need to either purchase a separate heating unit or choose a heat pump, which can both heat and cool your home. Once you’ve decided on the type of system you want, you’ll need to find an HVAC tech to install it. Many AC companies will also install heat pumps and other types of HVAC systems. Once your system is installed, you can also add a smart thermostat to help regulate the temperature in your home. I’ve had homes without any climate control and if you live in a harsh climate it can be a harrowing experience. It is recommended to have some kind of heating in homes in the far north because not having heat can be life threatening. Cold weather can do much more harm to the body than warmer weather as our bodies are pretty good at removing heat, especially with the use of a fan. However, when the weather gets very cold the body can shut down and eventually stop functioning as in the case of hypothermia.
