I waited too long to replace the filter in my air purifier

It doesn’t pay to be cheap about things that are going to affect your health in a negative way.

I made a huge mistake trying to purchase non-approved medications off the internet because of the price difference.

My insurance co-pays increased last year for all of my drugs and I figured that the ones from foreign markets would be nearly as good. Hoping that they would be merely “good enough” is what I was really looking for. But instead, I exposed myself to not just weak drugs, but also a host of various toxins that were used to manufacture those inferior copy drugs. I learned after a trip to the ER one night when I couldn’t stop vomiting why I shouldn’t trust getting medication from unverified and unlicensed sources. Sadly, my cheap mindset doesn’t end with my dumb attempt at saving money on prescription medications. I also tried to make the filters in my air conditioner and air purifier last much longer than what’s recommended. After three months I was forced to replace the HVAC filter because the air conditioner kept struggling to get the house to the temperature selected on the thermostat. Once the new filter was inside the machine, the air conditioner got the house to the target temperature in only 20 minutes. I was stunned by the results, but I should have taken the hint and replaced the air purifier filter at the same time. I waited longer and then found that it was barely working at all from the sheer amount of dust buildup in the old filter. I bought a new HEPA filter for my air purifier and now I’m breathing better and clearing my sinuses a lot less as a result.
