He should have known better since he works in the HVAC business
Today I’m doing my online work in the car. My partner and I have come to our favorite town to spend a few days with some friends. We are staying at a camping site with a friend who owns an RV. Since it was raining, I decided to shut myself in the car and do the work I have to do today. My partner is learning how to play the djembe with our buddy, who is a skilled multi-instrumentalist. Apart from the djembe, he plays the tambourine, the guitar, the bass, the harmonica and the flute. We often play music together at some of the local businesses in town, which often organize musical nights. Sometimes we play with this other guy, who’s a part-time HVAC representative. He sings and improvises funny lyrics because he used to be a stand-up comedian before he started dealing with heating and cooling equipment. We haven’t played together that much lately since he’s been stressed out with issues with his boiler. I told him he should have done maintenance work on it to ensure that his HVAC equipment runs smoothly throughout the year. Now, his boiler may be beyond repair, and he may need to buy a new one. All this just because he neglected regular maintenance. He should have known better since he works in the HVAC business. Now he’s obsessed with saving money and doesn’t have time to do what he truly loves, which is playing music. In fact, he told me that he spent four hours last night browsing websites and forums for energy saving tips.
