Nothing worries me more, than when someone faints or gets hurt at my house.
I am constantly afraid of being sued. I had once had someone in my attic installing insulation. He also got up there, and I told him the ductwork had a few rough edges, and he had to be careful. He ended up bumping his head on the ductwork, which caused him to fall backward, and he fell between boards, ending up going through the ceiling and landing on his back. I called the ambulance and then called the insulation company. I had to spend my money for his accident, and spend my money to have the ceiling repaired, however he knew the ductwork was in the attic. I thought it was his own fault, but their insurance company didn’t… Last week, the heating and A/C corporation was at my house. I was looking out, just in time to see him fall to the ground. I was upset he had been bitten by something, or been destroyed by the a/c unit. I called an ambulance and then I went out to the heating and A/C corporation. He was coming around by the time I got outside. I told him to lie still and asked him if he was okay. He told me he had fainted, and he could barely breathe. From his pallor and the perspiring, I also knew he was having a heart attack. I knew it was wrong, but my first thought was if there was any way they could make this my fault. I couldn’t even afford for my insurance premium to go any higher.
