I just bought a cabin in the middle of nowhere in the mountains.
A lot of the people I know say I’m trying to escape the real world.
But I’ve decided to look at it as a chance to live the life I’ve always wanted. The village is a great place to be, but my body didn’t like how crazy everything was. Things got so bad that I became sad and had to stay in the hospital for a while. I started to think about my life while I was in the hospital, and that’s when I decided I wanted to make changes. I did some research and found a beautiful cabin community about four hours from the city. There was a cabin for sale, but it needed work, so I had to agree to do it. I can work from home, so that wasn’t going to be a problem. Deck service was one problem with the cabin because the deck was falling apart. The last owner had the deck replaced, but that was a long time ago. It was time to fix it or get a new one. Next, the cabin’s windows weren’t ready for winter. In this part of the world, you need good insulation to make it through winter, so I had to find a local window replacement company. Someone I was getting to know helped me find the right place to get my windows fixed. I had to make sure that the supplier could work on all the windows before winter and make sure that the windows were as well insulated as possible. I chose to put off deck service until spring because the windows needed it more.
