When dad left, mom wasn’t sure if she’d make it.

However, my mom has never given up. She went to work, sometimes doing two things at once. Then, in the evening, she would go to college to get her degree as a nurse. She didn’t do a lot of things at the cabin in the beginning. But she always planned to work on renovations when she was done with school and had a better job. Now that the time has come, I can say that she is doing well in her job and as a person. Mom even started fixing up the cabin, making sure that all the strange parts were up to date. She started by calling a roofing company to find out if she needed a new roof or to fix the one she had. The roofer was honest, thank goodness, and told mom that she didn’t need a new roof. Instead, he did a thorough inspection and suggested roof service to make sure it lasts longer. Our home’s doors were the next thing that mom wanted to fix. She wanted a newer look and had seen some beautiful doors at a friend’s house. So, mom called a door supplier to get a quote for the same doors. A sales representative from the door supplier got back to her, and mom got a great quote for new doors. However, she now wants to build a deck to make the cabin even more beautiful.
