I just discovered a furniture store, and I am obsessed with it.
It’s located about 30 miles from where I live.
It’s a massive space with thousands of square footage of showrooms. So, there are lots of interior design ideas to pull from. They have showrooms with everything from traditional to glamorous furniture. In addition, they even have showrooms with antique pieces. I personally like the rustic furniture that they have on display. And there was one section that they named rustic meets traditional where they mixed and matched these different furniture styles. When I was in the store, I gravitated to that section the most because it gave me so many new ideas for my home. I am no interior designer nor am I a professional decorator, but I do enjoy seeing a well-decorated home. Especially those that take risks incorporating unique pieces into the decor. While the cookie cutter furnishing might work for others, I really don’t like it. I prefer to add elements of surprise to my decor, while mixing patterns, colors, finishes, and more. So, throughout my house, you’ll find one-of-a-king handmade furniture, natural wood furniture, as well as antiques, and traditional pieces. I believe by mixing furniture styles, it makes the space more interesting. Plus, there are several handmade furniture pieces that stand out so much that they become the subject of conversations. To be honest, those handmade furniture are my favorite because those pieces are not found in any furniture store in the area. Which means the chances of someone that I know having that same piece of handmade furniture are slim to none. And frankly, I like to keep it that way.
