We will play some music later, and since I recently recovered from the flu and don’t have much energy left, I will be gentle with my singing.
If this church is booked, my friend and I will play here on the pier instead. After 31 years of playing, my body is pretty worn out, and I’m ready to move on to the next phase of my life. I will cut back on my volleyball and devote more time, effort, and energy to the music I make with the band. I currently make the majority of my money from writing about heating and cooling repair, but music will soon overtake that position as my friend and I work for odd local businesses in the area. This month, if they are any good, I want to create some new songs that I can potentially upload to our venue. In our songs, my friend and I educate listeners about heating and air conditioning systems while making them enjoyable and fun. We sing about fun things like space heaters and climate control systems. In the long run, I hope to make a living off of singing and playing music while also continuing to enjoy it as much as my body will allow. I spent many years working in HVAC repair, but I picked up the drum one afternoon and discovered that I was good at playing it. With the band, I play in and the increasing amount of singing and playing I am doing, I have now made that a reality. It’s a fulfilling journey to transition from an HVAC repair career to pursuing music, and with each new song we create, we not only entertain our listeners but also educate them about heating and air conditioning systems, making the most of my newfound passion.
