I could only be convinced to move back up north again with a promise of radiant flooring

Moving a lot as a kid is hard when you make a group of friends and don’t want to lose them just to go to school in another state to make friends with a different group.

This was even harder in high school in a clique environment, but I managed to finally fall into a groove after we moved down south and stayed down there for a few years straight.

After I went to college in another state, my parents moved again. So by the time I was ready to visit home during winter break, I had to go “home” to a brand new house I had never stepped foot inside of before. I couldn’t see my old high school friends any longer and I immediately felt a touch of loneliness despite being surrounded by my family members. However, we were no longer in a freezing cold environment up north and I could experience the winter holidays in a milder climate for the first time in my life. I can’t lie, I love living here so much that I can’t imagine ever choosing to live up north again with the excruciatingly cold temperatures for six months out of the year. I think the only thing that could convince me to move up north again would be radiant heated flooring. It’s expensive but extremely satisfying in the coldest temperatures a northern winter can throw at a random person. Combined with another heat source, radiant heated flooring is both elegant and erapturing in its warmth. You can get electric radiant heated flooring or hydronic radiant heated flooring which utilizes water coming from a steam boiler.
