I just wish that I had fully understood just how important good indoor air quality actually was.
But I’m glad to have good indoor air quality inside my house these days. This is a change that I am so glad has finally taken place. It was long overdue but I didn’t even know really what I was dealing with. Finding just a few minutes for researching online and I learned about indoor air quality. To my mind, all indoor air was already clean. That is a total misconception. We see that our HVAC equipment has an air filter. We all know the air volume in our house is pulled to the HVAC return. So all that air is passing through the HVAC air filter. Then, we change the air filter at the end of the month only to see some dust and dirt on the HVAC air filter. In my brain, logic stated to me that the HVAC equipment was cleaning the air. Well, it is to a degree. But unless you have a HEPA filter, the air filter you’re using is designed for the health of HVAC equipment and not yours. This was a total surprise to me. And I can hardly believe I could have been this so misled. The indoor air that I thought was healthy just really wasn’t so I made a change. I now have a HEPA filter in place of those cheap HVAC air filters. And it has made a tremendous difference when it comes to having good indoor air quality inside our house.
