When I was a kid and my family was constantly telling me about the indoor air handling technician lifestyle. Most of the men in my family are heating and cooling workers and they wanted me to follow in the family footsteps. In fact, since my grandpa opened his heating, cooling, and air quality control dealership over 50 years ago everyone in my family has been a part of the air quality control shop. All of the men work as heating and cooling technicians. Many of the women have functioned as HVAC dispatchers or they kept the books for the air quality repair appointments. As such, it was expected that I would attend the local trade school to obtain my certification in heating, cooling, and air quality control solutions. I was not very excited about the idea of becoming an HVAC worker at first. However, my opinion changed very rapidly when I sat down in my first air conditioning system repair class. Within two minutes the most beautiful girl in the world walked in and sat down next to me with a heating and cooling repair textbook in hand. Suddenly, my whole world changed. I was very interested in indoor air handling solutions, energy-efficient air conditioning systems, and furnace installations. I even started learning about thermostats when I went home that night. I was so excited to impress this girl that I aced my first course in heating and cooling repair solutions. To this day I am an enthusiastic member of the family heating, cooling, and ventilation repair shop. Better yet, my wife is our best heating and cooling technician.
