For the past ten years I swore that I would never have a light haired dog.
- I have been completely adverse to the idea of getting a large hairy beast who would be shedding fur all over my house… let alone certainly white fur that would clash with all the black clothing I wear.
Obviously, it was wisest to invest in an animal who would match my wardrobe and indoor decor. Well, your heart can’t be tamed by logic or reason, can it? Turns out, mine really can’t. The other week, I wound up adopting a brand current puppy… with a full coat of certainly white fur. He’s clearly adding a lot to my life. However, he’s also adding a lot of fur to my indoor air quality and Heating plus Air Conditioning system. I first noticed that her fur was causing complications with the central heating and cooling system when the control component was struggling to control the A/C component as usual. It felt like the A/C system wasn’t able to pump out the same amount of high quality indoor air as usual. I couldn’t figure out why there were hot and chilly patches all over the house. It felt like my indoor air temperature was fluctuating wildly depending on which room I entered and which air vent I stood next to. I eventually called out my local Heating plus Air Conditioning professional and asked for help with my failing heating and cooling system. When she took a look at the air handling devices, she told me that they were doing okay… but my air filters and HVAC duct were taking a beating. When she handed me a handful of long, certainly white hair I gasped. How had this puppy done so much air quality detriment in only a few weeks?
