My AC unit came in, but they never notified me

Sometimes I really wonder about local businesses.

It feels like they don’t actually want to earn your money at times. Specifically, when you’re attempting to hire them for any service and they stop getting back to you. It’s stressful and awkward to call the front desk day after day, asking if they’re ever going to get around to your professional repair service or not. However, that’s been my experience with the local HVAC shop recently. I’m not sure if this air handling repair shop just hired a new staff or what. The HVAC repair shop actually used to be highly reputable and easy to work with. They installed my first central HVAC system 15 years ago. They have provided all my routine maintenance appointments and emergency repairs for the past several decades. But when my most recent AC replacement was necessary, this HVAC shop was actually a nightmare to work with. After my AC unit broke down they helped me to select a new cooling system that would lower my energy bills and increase my indoor air quality. Then, they told me that the AC system was out of stock for the foreseeable future. For a few weeks, the HVAC technician would call and update me on the AC order status. Then I started hearing nothing from the heating and cooling repair shop. I lived in brutal heat and humidity without any HVAC system for several weeks… until I finally gave up and called the heating and cooling specialist again. Wouldn’t you know, the AC unit had been sitting in the shop for over 3 weeks at that point. No one thought to tell me.
