At first, I couldn’t understand my nervousness at visiting a marijuana dispensary for the first time.
After all, recreational marijuana is legal now.
But, my entire life it has been taboo; if you use it, be very discreet. So, a lifetime of cultural training made this a nervous situation for me. Before we left for the cannabis dispensary, I actually took a shower, put on extra deodorant, and chose my clothes very carefully. I didn’t want to look like a bum walking into the cannabis dispensary but I didn’t want to look like a snob either. I stilll wore my Paris Hilton shades and a hat to hide my face. I was just so embarrassed. And, I made my sister go with me. This cannabis dispensary just opened but my sister has been there already. Her presence gave me courage. I must say, I was truly amazed at the assortment of marijuana products. They had various strains of marijuana and the staff was quite knowledgeable. There were vaporizers and vape pens and edibles and topicals; I was amazed! I chose a couple of edibles and a new strain to try and my sister made her own purchases. I actually had a good time at the marijuana dispensary, even though I was nervous the whole time. I don’t think I am going to go there regularly. That doesn’t mean that I won’t be a regular customer of the marijuana dispensary because I will be. But, I found out that they offer delivery service so I don’t always have to go in person.
