Fishing trip & the cottage heat pump

My Husband recently went on a fishing trip & had such a great time. He & his brothers travelled up into the mountains for their “guys weekend”. This was supposed to be a enjoyable & fun time for all of them. However, they are used to the comforts of apartment as well. They were fine with staying in a cottage, as long as it had a/c. When they arrived at their endpoint it was a appealing area. The cottage was located just feet from the lake & it was cooler there than at home. Once unpacked they headed to the lake. They were all honestly excited about fishing & sharing a few great laughs. Hours later as it was getting late, they built a small fire & continued spending quality time. My hubby was the first to head inside for the night. The temperature outside was still around 74 degrees. Perfect for spending time outside however not for a great night’s sleep. He checked the control machine & it was set to 65 degrees. It just seemed too hot in the cottage so he investigated & found that the Heating & A/C system was not turned on. He turned in on & heard a horrible bang. Unjammed it & found that it was not operational at all. It was too late to call anyone from the rental condo at that point so they all knew that they were in for an uncomfortable night of sleeping. Early the next afternoon an Heating & A/C professional was sent out to repair the system. Once it was up & running the trip went great. It is so pressing to check your heat & air when on vacation before it is a problem late at night. This makes it easier on almost everyone involved. Lesson Learned for next time.
