I am so excited! We are finally planning our next big trip as a family.
Years ago we travelled to the tropics and spent two glorious weeks relaxing in the sun during the coldest part of winter. It was great! We kept track of the weather at home, snowy, cold, and damp. Meanwhile, we were in 80 degrees with blue skies and plenty of sunshine. We did feel a little guilty as we had left our loved ones to handle things at home including the care of our animals. This meant making sure the driveway was shoveled along with the daily care of everything else at the house. One evening we received a call to check up on things and found that they were expecting a bad wind storm. Our concern immediately went to loss of power. During the winter months especially you depend on power to run your HVAC systems. If the power is down for several hours the house can get very cold. In cases like this it would have been great to have a backup generator installed to ensure that the heat would stay on. We did not have that done and it started us thinking it may be time. Thankfully all was well at home and we returned happy and relaxed. I checked with our local HVAC professionals and they were running a promotion on whole house generators. This system would support our current HVAC system and ensure that summer or winter our heat and air conditioning would continue to keep us comfortable throughout the year. These systems must be professionally installed as permits are usually needed and to maintain the warranty.
