My family really loves to travel.
In fact we would travel so much when I was younger that my school started to call the house asking why we were missing so much school.
My parents thought it was really important for my brothers and I to experience other cultures and see the world. I hope this is something that I can do for my kids one day too. I think that seeing other cultures really is important to realize how lucky we have it. My mom was always really good about preparing the house every time we would be going away for a long trip. She would always make sure the thermostat was set to the perfect temperature so we wouldn’t waste energy while we were going to be gone on our travels. Now that I am older, I wish I could have told my parents to get a smart thermostat while we were traveling. I think a smart thermostat that you can program is so smart to have if you are going to be traveling for an extended amount of time. You can change the temperature of your smart thermostat all from you cell phone so you don’t have to even have the HVAC system on while you are gone. You are able to save so much money on you electric bill too by having the HVAC system turned off while you are gone and then just turn the HVAC system back on from your cell phone when you are on your way back.
