My husband and I decided that we want to start saving money so that we can buy a new car.
Right now we both share a car and it is becoming really difficult to get us both to work on time.
At first we worked close enough for it to make sense that we drove together. However, now my office is moving across town and it has proven to be very difficult. Either one of us is always late to work because the traffic downton is so bad. Last week I was over an hour late for work, I was so glad that no one noticed! We know that we have to get a new car so we are starting to save this month. We are going to eat at home more often, not go out for happy hour and we are going to turn down the thermostat. It is the fall season where we live and it a perfect time to just open the windows and get some fresh air. As the weather gets cooler outside I know we are going to want to turn on the heater, but we are really going to try not to. I know that if we keep the thermostat at the perfect temperature, we will be able to save a ton of money on our energy bills. If we can save money on our energy bills then it will only help us save money for our new car. I am looking forward to these next couple of months so we can work towards our goal together. I think I am going to call our local HVAC company and see if they have any tips on saving money on our energy bill!
