I had a somewhat spine-chilling experience a few afternoons ago.
- I have typically been someone that enjoys sleeping by my window, it’s just certainly soothing to me.
I have my bed directly aligned with the window. I was sleeping because it was late last night, and it was normal for me to be in bed around this hour. However I woke up to the sounds of something or someone banging metal, and we heard a giant thud as well as what sounded like footsteps. When I woke up I couldn’t believe what I saw there was a guy dressed in all black tinkering with my heating and air conditioning unit. My first reaction was shock as well as fear so I screamed that I felt my scream was enough to just startle him off. I feel he was trying to dismantle my heating and A/C system. Maybe he wanted to get to the copper fillings that were inside of it. I do not know why he was there but I immediately jumped up as well as called the police. I was really relieved when they told me that they were able to catch the guy as well as that I didn’t have to worry about him damaging my heating and A/C system. What kind of absurd world do we live in where I cannot even go without worrying about my heating as well as cooling system? I am going to have a metal cage installed around it! Something has to be done to protect my HVAC unit. Normally when I am going to sleep at night next to the window I can hear the sound of the cooling system running. It is a calming sound that helps to put me to sleep, hopefully I won’t have to suffer anything like this again.
