When you work a job like mine, Summer is the toughest challenge to getting the job done. Since I was a little kid, I would rather be outside of the residential HVAC of the house mowing the lawn. I don’t quite know exactly what it was that I found so appealing about mowing my parent’s lawn, but I loved it. In fact, my dad basically turned over all the landscaping to me so he could sit inside the central air conditioning on Saturdays. I don’t blame him. Here I am working as a landscape architect and I’m still the one doing the mowing at my place. I have girls and I just can’t get either one of them interested in getting out of the cooling comfort in order to do the lawn. So unlike my dad, I’m out there on Saturdays cutting my own grass. As a landscape professional, I just don’t know whether I could ever bring myself to paying someone else to take care of my yard. Still, there is one key component to my home that is simply essential for my happiness. And that’s why I have the very latest when it comes to residential HVAC. After being outside most of each day, I just have to come home to some of the cooling magic from the heat pump. Thanks to the smart thermostat that we have, I’m always walking into the best, most crisp air conditioning at the end of my long, sweaty day. I don’t spend a ton of money on myself but whatever it takes to have the best air conditioning, I’ll spend it.
