My only concern was that they were electric until my husband reminded me our oil furnace needed electricity to run
When I called the HVAC company, I wasn’t calling to make an appointment. I had a question for one of the HVAC technicians. My husband had been talking about the efficiency of a mini split HVAC system. We knew we needed a new HVAC system, and I wanted to make sure he had all his facts right. My husband told me the mini split HVAC system was the most efficient HVAC system on the market. I wanted to make sure he was right before we made a decision. I talked to an HVAC technician who offered to come to the house and talk to my husband and I. He affirmed the mini split HVAC system was one of the most efficient HVAC systems there were. They now have some systems that had a SEER of 30. They used less energy to run and the heating and cooling were excellent. He told us they required less maintenance than other systems, and they were more reliable. Some people supplemented heat during the cold winters, but we didn’t have winters that were cold enough to worry about it. We thanked him for the information and looked at the brochures he gave us about the different mini split systems on the market. My only concern was that they were electric until my husband reminded me our oil furnace needed electricity to run. The next day, my husband asked me to get the HVAC technician back to the house. He wanted to have the house measured up to find out how many units we needed to properly heat and cool our home.
