I can’t afford a new air conditioning unit.

I reached out and gave him a hug

Last year, the HVAC technician told me I needed a new air conditioning unit before summer. I was going to call to have the air conditioning unit serviced when I remembered what the HVAC technician had said. I knew I couldn’t afford to buy a new air conditioning unit, but I couldn’t afford to go without air conditioning. Our summer temperatures were 100 degrees and higher. Without air conditioning, it would be too hot and humid to do anything, let alone get work done. My kids would complain all the time, and my husband would be worse. I called the HVAC company and asked them to send a technician to the house to discuss a new air conditioning unit. Before he took care of ordering an air conditioning unit, he wanted to look at the old air conditioning unit. When he came inside, he was frowning. He asked who had told me I needed a new AC unit. I told him about the HVAC technician who had been at the house the previous year. I knew I couldn’t afford a new air conditioning unit, but it was cheaper to have it replaced than listen to my family all summer. He told me I needed a new fan motor and some minor repairs, but the air conditioning unit would last a couple more years. I was so grateful I wanted to reach out and give him a hug. I reached out and gave him a hug. He seemed surprised, but he took it well. I told him I was worried about not having enough money for a new AC unit, and he put my mind at ease.
