I knew there was a concern with the way my boiler was toiling… There didn’t seem to be enough airflow to get the heat through the pipes, my boiler was running for longer periods, and the heat was diminished.
My wife didn’t know what was wrong, and my friend and I had to call the Heating & A/C business! When the Heating & A/C worker arrived, she went to labor on the boiler, then it took him less than ten minutes to decide the boiler was okay, except it had a lot of dust and dirt in the air filter, however she asked how long it had been since the air filter had been changed. My wife had it written on the calendar every time she changed the air filter, and it was only three weeks earlier. The Heating & A/C worker opened a small panel in the ductwork, and told us she wanted to call the Heating & A/C business. She was thinking my friend and I needed our ductwork cleaned. She didn’t want to petrify the dirt too much, and said she was going to have the professional ductwork cleaning team come to the home and clean it out. Three mornings later, there were three guys at the house. They all wore pale white outfits and had booties on their feet to keep the home clean. They pulled their hose into the basement, and it was like a large vacuum cleaner running. They cleaned, sanitized, and repaired a few small holes and cracks. It had been years since my home smelled so good. With the lack of dust over the next couple of months, I knew my friend and I were going to put ductwork cleaning on our list of familiar chores to do.
