I wanted an air purification system.

My husband was the CFO in a large company, and he knew how to make money and save money.

One of his biggest sayings was, ‘do you need it, or do you want it’, and I hated when he pulled it on me.

I told him I wanted an air purification system for the house. When he mentioned they had portable air purifiers on sale, I shook my head. I didn’t want a portable air purifier. I wanted a whole home air purification system installed in the HVAC system. I told him I wanted the UV light, HEPA air filters, and the humidifier for the furnace. Before he had the change to ask if I wanted it or needed it, I put my hand over his mouth. I told him I wanted the whole-home air purification system, but we needed it to keep the house healthy. I noticed a lot of dust in the house, and my breathing was always heavy lately. I hadn’t had an asthma attack in years, but I had been short of breath for the last six weeks, and I didn’t like it. I was out of breath walking from the bathroom to the bedroom, and I always had a headache. I knew he was going to bombard me with questions, so I didn’t give him a chance. I told a small fib and said I had already contacted the HVAC company so we could get a quote on the complete air purification system and humidifier. He asked what we would do with the portable humidifiers. I told him we could sell them. He was still sputtering when I went downstairs to do some laundry, and call the HVAC company.
