I love to tell people that I was raised by “old school” parents, however this is just a nice way of saying they were strict & religious.
I was the oldest of several siblings, & the only girl.
My father openly told me that women needed their father’s love, & boys only needed discipline. That was the sort of upbringing I had, where boys & women were treated undoubtedly differently. I was made to get a full time job in the construction corporation when I was 17, & ever since then every one of us have worked for a living… Now I am employed by a local Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C business, who has taken me under her wing & taught me things our parents never did. My father was shocked to hear that the Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C business was a woman, however jenny is the sole owner of the company, & also the lead Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C business for all upgrade projects. To a caveman love Dad who thinks that the Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C industry isn’t suitable for women, Jenny scares him! I am just cheerful she doesn’t hold her views against me, because she has become our teacher in the Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C industry & I am learning so much from her. Jenny tells me that over the next few months she will start giving me solo Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C projects to complete, as much as I love working side-by-side with Jenny, I recognize that I have to be able to handle jobs on our own… Who knows, maybe in a few years I will have enough experience to become an independent Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C business myself.
