Even though our oil furnace was running full blast, it still wasn’t getting hot in the house! My fiance had a porch full of wood, and my friend and I were using the fireplace to offset the oil furnace. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the oil furnace, however it was too chilly outside. My pal and I had more than one week of sub-zero temperatures, and our oil furnace couldn’t keep up; however, because of how chilly it was in the house, I wasn’t getting any work done… I work in my office several thirds a morning, and my fingers were getting so chilly that they weren’t moving right. I was making more typographical errors than anything else. I told my fiance, my friend and I needed to do something and get a current oil furnace. My pal and I knew our oil furnace was getting old, however my friend and I couldn’t afford to update it. My pal and I talked about getting a loan, however my friend and I weren’t in a wonderful position to take out a loan… About two in the morning, I heard a groan and then the house got silent. I woke my fiance up and told him the oil furnace died… He asked how I knew, and I told him to listen, however for the first time in a week, the oil furnace wasn’t working, and it was too quiet in the house. He got up and called the HVAC company. He told them it wasn’t an emergency, although he hoped they could get to the house in the morning. My pal and I slept on the living room floor in front of the fireplace, and loved the quiet heat that was coming from the fireplace. I couldn’t sleep because it was too quiet.
