I have an in-home office, but during the winter, it can’t be used.
- It is so cold in the winter, that my in-home office becomes off-limits to everyone until I get heat in there.
I wanted to get a small HVAC system, but I didn’t know what would work best. My friend told me I could get a small ductless HVAC system, but the room was too small for that type of HVAC. I was talking to my husband about the problem with the office, and he told me we now had two spare bedrooms since everyone was moved out. He wanted to move our bedroom into the bedroom that was at the front of the house. Our granddaughter stayed over quite often, so her bedroom remained empty. The room we were moving out of had two windows that got sun exposure all day long. Not only did it have good ventilation, but there was a thermostat in the room and heating whenever I needed it. He set the thermostat at sixty-six, and I was surprised how warm it was. I started thinking about where I wanted to put my computer, the book case, and my filing cabinet. He said that if we put much more in the room, we wouldn’t need to have the thermostat turned up. It would be hot in the room with all the stuff piled around me. I gave him a dirty look, and started moving things in. Half an hour later, he walked into the room and turned the thermostat down. He finally asked me if I wanted to wait until we moved our bed out, before actually turning it into an office.
