My chocolate melted because the AC wasn’t working.

I was planning on melting chocolate to pour over my peanut butter cup cakes, but I waited too long. The air conditioning had quit working while I was in town buying the ingredients to make my peanut butter cup cakes. I had chocolate in the freezer and pulled it out to use. When I got home from the grocery store, it surprised me how hot it was in the house. I called the HVAC company and told them there was something wrong with the air conditioning unit, and decided I could still bake the cakes. I was going to unwrap the chocolate bars and put it in the melting pot, but the lack of air conditioning had beat me to it. Before I could consider opening the chocolate, I had to put it back in the freezer to solidify again. I was frustrated and angry, and I knew I had at least three hours before the HVAC technician got to the house. I baked the cakes and put them on the porch to cool, since it was now hotter inside than it was inside. I brought the cake inside to make sure it wasn’t getting tacky because of the humidity and realized it was past the time for the HVAC technician to arrive. I put the cake in the freezer and pulled the chocolate out. An hour later, I was pouring chocolate on my cake, and still waiting for the HVAC technician. I was sitting on the porch, cooling off, when the HVAC technician arrived. He asked if it wasn’t too hot to be outside. I smiled and said it was cooler than it was in the house.
