Craig and Alicia own a small sweets shop in town.
This shop has been in the same area for close to 3 decades but with different owners.
Summers are the most busy time for the sweet shop since the area is popular with tourists who flock to the national park nearby. So, many homes offer accommodation, glamping and camping services. Craig and Alicia were once those tourists who came to see the beauty and stayed because they fell in love. The previous sweet shop owner wanted to move away, so he sold them the business, and his previous home. When the business is down, the couple work remotely, so they still have good income all year. This past summer was an interesting one since they had to install a new AC for the first time since purchasing the place 5 years back. The previous owner had done an excellent job with AC maintenance and they also did the same. There is a local AC service company that does both commercial and residential work. Craig and Alicia maintained the service agreement with the business and always had an AC specialist come and inspect the unit at the shop. One afternoon Craig was working at the shop when the AC failed. He had to phone the AC repair people to come and take a look. They informed him that it was time to replace the aging AC with a modern unit more suitable for the business. Since they had good savings, Craig and Alicia didn’t take long to do the replacement. Now, the shop feels much better with the modern AC cooling the place.
