Acts of kindness – gave Heating and Air Conditioning tech a lift

The other afternoon I was out at the park on a long hike by myself. It helps me to release my physical energy in order to calm down and have a productive afternoon. I went on a nice long run and was headed back to my car when I thought I heard somebody yelling for my attention after me. I wasn’t totally sure, so I kept walking but slow down. Eventually, a lady caught up with me and asked in a breathless voice if she could possibly get a ride to the other side of the park. She was harshly hot and it was getting dark outside, so I understood that she was in need of a lift for safety. As a fellow woman, I instinctively gave her a ride instead of leaving her out in the wilderness. As we are driving around, she happened to mention that she was a professional heating and cooling specialist in town. I was blown away! I consistently thought that Heating and Air Conditioning specialists were necessarily men, because the air handling equipment was so heavy and strenuous to relocate. She told me she was one of the only lady in the cooling industry in our town. I was proud to have met her, and ask for her supplier card. A few afternoons later, my air conditioner decided it was tired from a long run. The cooling system turned off and never turned back on again! Luckily, I knew exactly who to call. I pulled out my Heating and Air Conditioning specialist buddys supplier card and gave her a ring. She came out within the hour, hastily fixed my cooling system, and didn’t charge me for her ventilation services as a way to return the favor.
