Our boiler was toiling overtime and making our household way too warm.
I came household from work one cool winter time evening and was gleeful to spend some family time near our old wood boiler playing some card games, but when I got home, the household was much more than just warm, it was downright hot! I asked my partner what he had the temperature control set to and he said he had only set it at 79 degrees, but there was no way that the household was only at 79 degrees! I checked the temperature control and yep, it was indeed set at 79 degrees, but the actual temperature of the household was 83! I was horrified that it was so hot, and turned the set temperature way down, hoping it would cool the household to a normal temperature.
Later that evening, the household did cool down, but it was still pretty warm. We all went to bed in shorts and a t-shirt because it was still quite warm. I woke up in the middle of the night chilly cold, and got up to check the temperature control again; Apparently, the boiler decided to stop toiling altogether that night. When morning came I called the heating and cooling corporation and stressed a time for an Heating and A/C supplier to come take a look at our old wood boiler. After the Heating and A/C supplier did his inspection on the boiler, he told me there was a lot of work to be done in order to get our boiler back into toiling condition. Luckily, my superb friend and I had been saving for years to get a current boiler and were ready to get it installed. We got a current oil boiler in our household and never had any heating or cooling concerns since.
